How To Use Instagram Direct Message
To send your first DM on Instagram, take a picture as you generally would. You could apply just the same filters to "DM photos" as you could with all other Instagram blog posts. When you're ready to send it straight to someone (or a team of people)-- faucet NEXT as usual.
From the Share to menu towards the top of the display, tap DIRECT (see # 1 in screenshot listed below). Currently faucet inside the Write a caption ... window, as well as type out your message (see # 2 in screenshot listed below).
When you're done composing your message, tap OK.
Now scroll via your checklist of Instagram get in touches with and tap the circle next to their name so that a green "check mark" shows up. KEEP IN MIND: you can pick more than one recipient if you want to share a message or image with a team of people.
When you prepare to send the picture and message, faucet SEND TO (NAME).
When they open up Instagram, they'll exist with an alert on the "mailbox" icon as shown in the screenshot below.
After touching that mail box, they'll see that a new message as been sent out from you.
When they touch the message, it's presented to them in the format illustrated below.
From here they could react to your message.
If/when they do, you will have a notification icon in your mailbox.
The "blue bubble" (see screenshot) highlights that the picture has been talked about (and also how long ago).
When you tap the 'response' in your mail box, you'll be be able to see their feedback, and also continue the 'conversation' if you would certainly like.
