Giphy, a new start-up from tech studio Betaworks, just developed a workaround to post GIFs directly into your Facebook Timeline.
You still need to strike play, as you would certainly with a video, in order to see the computer animation. Yet it's basically the very same experience.
UPDATE from a Facebook speaker: "Facebook does not support animated GIFs."
If you intend to share a GIF on Facebook, initial directly over to Giphy.
Giphy allows you to search through all the GIFs that designers have published to the website. Once you locate a GIF you want to share, click the Facebook symbol below the computer animation.
A common Facebook share box will turn up. From there, you can determine if you intend to share it on your Timeline, a good friend's timeline, in a group, or in an exclusive message.
